Similarly, the moisture content of the solid phase after the centrifuge dehydration is also determined by two factors, namely the effective centrifugal force acting on the solid phase in the drum dehydration zone and the average residence time of the solid phase in the drum dehydration zone.
By adjusting the operating state of the decanter centrifuge, the above factors can be controlled within a certain range to obtain a better separation effect. Under normal circumstances, first set the drum speed range for the separated materials, and then adjust the differential speed and overflow plate according to the separation situation of the centrifuge to obtain a better separation effect.

The adjustment of the differential speed and the overflow plate and the liquid phase clarity and solid phase humidity generally have the following rules: a smaller differential speed will reduce the solid phase moisture content, but the liquid phase clarity will decrease. A larger differential speed will increase the clarity of the liquid phase, but the moisture content of the solid phase will increase. An overflow plate with a smaller inner diameter will increase the clarity of the liquid phase, but will increase the moisture content of the solid phase. An overflow plate with a larger inner diameter will reduce the solid phase moisture content, but the liquid phase clarity will decrease.

Therefore, when the decanter centrifuge is mainly liquid phase clarity and solid phase moisture content is inferior, a deeper liquid pool depth should be used, and the differential speed should not be too small. When the dryness of the solid phase is the main and the clarity of the liquid phase is the second, a shallower pool depth and a smaller differential speed should be used.
